Customer Objective: Fine Print required a comprehensive asset management and workflow solution to store, control and manage increasing volumes of digital data. The previous processes and systems meant that data was not centrally stored, hindering user access to it, and resulting in data loss if an individual desktop failed.
Papermule solution provided: Fine Print had originally purchased and installed Engage's ContentServer in 1998 to provide workflow management, archive content, track print jobs and content through the workflow, and control the existing OPI server print spool processes. Engage's Internet administrative tool /W3 was then added to provide Fine Print and its customers with Browser based access to production and archived content. In 2005 Papermule migrated Fine Print to Papermule's Workflow product,

updating workflow automation and providing centralised digital asset management. The new system and advances in disk technology brought Fine Print continued production efficiencies and allowed the OPI server to be decommissioned, lowering costs and simplifying Fine Print's IT infrastructure.
Project Outcome: The original solution enabled Fine Print to design and institute more streamlined and optimised workflows. Labour costs were reduced by the automation of manual processes and the turnaround time of a print job was substantially reduced. Papermule have built on these foundations to continue enhancing the productivity of Fine Print's production processes and enable further infrastructure cost reduction.
