Long term storage of assets within Papermule Workflow can be greatly enhanced by adding the ability to search them by content as well as meta-data. In the real world, the concept of a library is that it holds static information and as such Papermule Library is no different. When a job has been completed and dispatched for publication, the digital version may be submitted for indexing. It then exists within the library until it is re-submitted to a new workflow or deleted. Indexing assets is achieved through integration with third-party applications and tools that are used to extract textual information from images, PDFs and other readable sources. This textual information is categorised and indexed in either relational tables or free-text formats allowing users extensive searching capabilities on historical work. Papermule Library will be configurable to provide services such as logo libraries, page libraries and picture desks with wire feeds. Added benefits for sales teams in the directory and advertising sector is the ability to find customer adverts both in their original form and in the published page.
